The Marinière collection is based on an all time French classic.
The "trico rayé" originates from the uniform of seafarers in the French Navy in the mid 1800s.
Today the Marinière is a cultural icon from France, and is worn by all ages on any occasion. Often associated to high end fashion, Arctic Edge is proud to introduce this timeless classic to the outdoor world.
The knit of this neck gaiter is a tiny bit looser than other neck gaiters (compared to Trapper/ Pyramiden/ Signature) making it extremely comfortable for city use too.
Dimensions: 24 cm wide x 29 cm tall, 78 g
Yann's tips and tricks: "This is my go to neck gaiter for everyday use, in the city and out on day winter trips outdoors. It feels extremely soft and fluffy and with all other Arctic Edge garments, gets softer over time. It stretches easily too. If you are considering making a gift you cannot go wrong with this neck gaiter as it will instantly fit most people perfectly.
This neck gaiter has also ended up on several very long expeditions so don't be afraid using it. However if you would like something more close fitting to your face for extreme expeditions you might want to consider the Trapper of Signature neck gaiter."
This garment is made using a luxurious blend of ZQ merino wool, New Zealand Brushtail Possum fibres, and Mulberry silk.
The ZQ merino wool is ethically sourced from free range sheep in New Zealand and Australia and is guaranteed non-mulesing. The Possum is a non-native, invasive animal to New Zealand and causes immense harm to the country’s natural flora and fauna. The fibres sourced are a by-product of the national eradication program.
