The Svalbard Expedition Beanie is a truly unique garment, and probably one of the warmest and most comfortable wooly hat on the market today. It was designed with true Svalbard conditions in mind.
It is based on the design of the regular Svalbard beanie. Except it is twice as thick and slightly longer. The two layers of fabric trap air in between, and will insulate your head like no other beanie can. It can also be folded back for extra protection on your ears.
The beanie is great for the bitterly cold days, and has been tested in the coldest parts of the planet. If you are on a longer expedition, this beanie will keep you warm at basecamp.
Made from the exceptional Merino/Possum/Silk blend. Luxuriously soft too !

Yann's tips and tricks: "I can guarantee you there is nothing else like this beanie on the market today. Since the start of Arctic Edge, this was the holy grail of beanies I was trying to achieve. This beanie has been with me on all my expeditions on Svalbard/ Greenland/ Antarctica for the past few years. When lying freezing in a tent or when taking breaks from snowmobile trips, I would take this beanie out. This is not to be used when you are very active, it will be too warm ! "

Purchased a double thickness beanie in Svalbard however returning to Australia and taking a trip to Melbourne I left the beanie on a tram!
So I decided to buy both a single and double sided beanie.

This is a very warm and comfortable beanie, this hat will allow you to spend more time outdoors on the coldest days. You will not be disappointed with this beanie, it’s top quality at a reasonable price. Will definitely be purchasing Arctic Edge neck gaiter before the snow starts flying.
