These neck gaiters are slightly longer and wider than the original Svalbard collection, and have a slightly denser knit. They provide total neck and lower face coverage and have a high degree of wind resistance. They are luxuriously soft, yet durable and extremely comfortable. They are a firm favourite amount Svalbard guides in the winter time.

The story of the Trapper Collection :

The pattern is inspired from the clothing worn by Dutch whalers who navigated to Svalbard during the early and mid 17th century. The work was hard and the conditions were treacherous, and many men lost their lives on these journeys into uncharted waters. The West coast of Svalbard hosts a handful of burial sites. Remarkably some of the whalers' clothing is still intact - preserved by the permafrost. At the site of Smeerenburg and Ytre Norskøya excavations were carried out in the 1980s and some of their clothing can today be found at the Svalbard Museum in Longyearbyen.
